RM 60 billion .... But Where's My "Cheese"?

Who gave you your standing, it might be answered,
and what right have you to demand payment of us
for doing what we never asked you to do?
Do you not know that numbers of your fellow-creatures are starving,
for want of what you have too much of?
- Jean Jacques Rousseau, Discourse on Inequality
==============================

While 'Black eye' case: AG, IGP cleared and, Samy sings and cries for votes, Dato' Seri Najib, our future PM, reveals his package. I don't speak of the alleged 0.5 billion Scopene commission, but the RM 60 billion "mini-budget".
Najib's package was nothing short of explosive - who would've expected something that much? Anwar must've been caught off-guard- he must've expected Najib to be in "denial mode", and unveil a "rescue plan" of nothing more than 30b.
The strange thing here is, although Najib might have got a "hard-on" revealing it, in reality,Najib's humongous package wasn't much of a "stimulus" to anybody!

Take the KLCI today for instance ...KLCI rebound likely not sustainable - Down 4.88 pts to 850.37, with Losers(435) outnumbering Gainers(219). The Markets aren't too impressed with the "fine print" I suppose. As they say "the devil is in the details".

I'm no economist, nor have I read the "mini-budget" in full - and hence I may not undertand the big picture here ...... to me, with a small income, I wonder how it puts money in my pocket. Alright, granted - we will be having less rempits and Indons on a robbing spree, but "where's my cheese" buddy?
Why haven't you given me any tax breaks if I were to hire extra (local) workers in my small establishment?
How come there is no reduction of my income tax, when you compensate those toll-collecting pirates by the millions?

Is this just another quick fix for the NEP Junkies, or what?
Don't tell me ... this is to bail-out those GLCs and big businesses that show a nett loss in their balance sheets y-o-y, right?

0803 - UMNO & PR, One Year On ....

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"All political revolutions, not affected by foreign conquest,
originate in moral revolutions.
The subversion of established institutions is merely one consequence
of the previous subversion of established opinions.
"

-John Stuart Mill

=======================================

The Pakatan Rakyat campaign was won on a single platform - it was about a "Moral Revolution", and liberation from the shackles of Umno rule. It was about a psychological revolution where votes were cast based on a true desire for a better Malaysia. It stood for equality, righteousness and justice - as opposed to the Umno platform of corruption/ NEP/ "social contract", sectarianism and the politics of fear.

The results of March 8, 2008 was nothing short of a peaceful revolution - more on the psyche of the people, than anything else, that Umno is corrupt and dispensible.
The sad part of it all was the fact that the victorious politicians weren't prepared for the change that had taken place in the minds of the people, as a result of the cyber activism that had been going on long before they started theirs. They were caught off-guard, were faced with a steep learning curve and hence started bungling at every other step - but they have done fairly well thus far in governance (yes- even in Perak).

It was about 11 months ago that I wrote about 080308, when I likened the "defeat" of Umno in the 12GE to the different "phases of grief" - "You have denial, loss, anger, sadness, and then you come to accept it."
Umno went through the first two phases pretty quick, although there still traces of it that linger (the transition, after all is gradual and overlaps with no clear cut cut-off points). They quite quickly passed on to the phase of anger, which persists to this day.
There was much fear and uncertainty in the air, with subtle threats of a "mass reprisal".

In the same article, I had also written:-
"Of course ..... all this while, the monkeys are crouched in a corner, hoping for the dust to settle - only then can they start monkeying around.
When the monkeying starts, the voices of the UMNO Baru dynasties will ring loud and clear once again - the disdain which aristocrats hold for the masses will be seen in its full glory, back with a vengeance.
But that's another story, for another time ....."

-
Crouching Monkey, Wounded Tiger - Ep. III

As mentioned above, I had presumed that the reprisals would be faced by everybody as a whole, from non other than the "Umno nobility" - the aristocracy. This has begun in earnest with Perak, which heralds the times ahead for the rest of the nation. They have begun showing their disdain for the masses who have thus far kept them in power - as a result of being hoodwinked for 50 yrs.
Yes - the aristocracy almost without fail, would despise the empowered proletariat/electorate/citizen! The same sentiment is harboured for the - however, the royalty
which legitimizes their role, is a "necessary inconveniece" to the nobility (especially when subservient). This is why they are bent on projecting the image of "protector of the crown", while depicting others as republicans.

Just what is this thing called "aristocracy"?
According to Wikipedia, Aristocracy is a form of government, in which a few of the most prominent citizens rule. This may be a hereditary elite, or it may be by a system of cooption where a council of prominent citizens add leading soldiers, merchants, land owners, priests, and lawyers to their number.
Doesn't that sound a lot like Malaysia under Umno/BN rule?

One year on, and we now see Umno doing its job in Perak - just so that it can be Najib's crown jewel as he aspires to ascend the "throne". What we now see, is the backlash from these "nobles" who despise the very notion of a democracy, the doctrine separation of powers and the empowerment of the electorate. They do this by instilling FEAR into the minds of the people through the various institutions/ instruments of state which they now have absolute control over.
We are now faced with nothing less than a class struggle/war.

The true colours of Umno are now there for all who doubted the contention of the non-BN parties. Under Umno, there never was, and never will be a democracy - it was simply a charade meant to hoodwink the people and the international community. The Federal Constitution was simply an instrument for posterity and convenience. Otherwise, to Umno, it was and is simply "toilet paper". Their philosophy is simply that of a dictatorship of the aristocracy, using the catch-phrase - "Ketuanan Melayu".
We have the father of the Umno's "crown prince" to thank for that - he was definitely a visionary. Single-handedly, he orchestrated the subversion of the Federal Constitution, in the name of a "social contract", which is also known as the NEP that was meant to make their control complete in stages. This dominance, brought about unbridled greed and lust for wealth & power - which is now the "inheritance" of his heir.
The people are meanwhile left powerless- save some deluded Umno supporters who still believe that having aristocrats eat their cheese, is a sign of "empowerment".
It was always about being a kleptocracy of the aristocrats, which pretended to be a dictatorship of the majority - while masquerading as a democracy!
Nothing more, nothing less.

The power that they have consolidated over the years, is quite a formidable force, even in its weakened state - and it is this fact, which the PR are awakening to. The PR being a new alliance and to holding power, were naive, and were caught off-guard (despite numerous calls from bloggers to dissolve the assembly while they could). The PR were still living in denial of the facts that were staring at them in their face. (So much so, it made me say that I'd have no sympathy for them should they lose the state to the evil plots of Umno - but of course I do - especially with the spirited defense which Nizar has put up).

They did not expect an attack so blatantly unconstitutional, it would make Machiavelli purple with envy. The show of power Umno has exhibited through the Election Commission, Judiciary, the newly "baptized" but disgraced MACC and even the Police, defies not just all the tenets of a democracy, but also logic and common sense.

It is done on the premise that they are fighting for "Malay Political Dominance", when the real issue is nothing more than plain old dirty money!! The Malays are told that they have been displaced/dispossessed and hence need to take back what "rightfully belongs to them" by whatever means necessary.
Umno must've taken some tutoring on realpolitik from Hermann Goering who said, "people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and attack the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger".
It is why there were some guys who shouted at the PR supporters - "Ini Tanah Melayu punya!!", on the day of the historic "Tree Assembly" in defence of Democracy.
The immorality of it all, is lost on a group of people bent on perpetuating the kleptocracy that has managed to plunder the wealth of the nation for 50yrs.

With the Umno AGM coming up, what happens in Perak and Malaysia as a whole depends now, entirely on politics in Umno - on whether they have the courage to stand up to corruption, and if necessary, sacrifice their own political future for the sake of the nation.
It remains to be seen if Umno has the moral and spiritual courage to reject the most scandal-ridden "leader" the party has known in its history, and prevent his ascent to the throne.
That one action alone by the Umno delegates, will determine the path Malaysia will takes in the coming years.

Mr. Setev Sharibuu will also be closely watching the coming AGM, hoping for justice in the murder of Altantuya. It will determine if reforms will be implemented, justice/ judiciary restored and if selective persecution/ intimidation will be ended. It will also determine the freedom that RPK, Uthaya, others under ISA and all deserving Malaysians will enjoy.
It may well determine the fate of Malaysia as a Democracy with a Constitutional Monarchy.

For what it's worth - Happy Anniversary, PR and Malaysia!

Serdang Hospital's DR. Norzi's LIED for "someone" in Police Report??!!!

-------------------------------------------
......................................Sen. Murugiah......................------........................ Norzi
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Senator T. Murugiah rubbished claims that A. Kugan's body was tampered with by his family members before the post-mortem."
===============================================

Senator Murugiah implies that Norzi was lying in his statement about "the mob" tampering with evidence, the pool of blood & doctors "hiding".
So that means, either one person is LYING.

Both cannot be telling the truth here - either one is a BLATANT LIAR!!

While it appears that it is unlikely for Senator Murugiah to do so (as he seems to have video evidence), there is a strong possibility that Norzi's (meaning Serdang Hospital authorities) police report is a false report!!

This could well be a case of "False Police Report" in an "attempt to fabricate evidence" against Kugan's family and also an attempt to "obstruct justice"!!
What could the penalty be for such crimes?

According to NST, "The charge carries a jail term of up to 20 years and fine"!!

**(btw - Such a conduct by a "bad apple" Hospital Pengarah and his ignorance of Forensics cannot be left to tarnish the good name of the Medical Profession.
The people are meanwhile still waiting for MOH/MMC/Ismail Merican/MMA/SCHOMOS - someone, anyone - to make a statement, so as to "save face" and speak for the credibility of the excellent and selfless doctors in the Goverment Hospitals.
)

Here's a report in NST in response to Norzi's statement
in Hospital: Mob tampered with Kugan's body.

Murugiah refutes claim body was tampered
Sen. MurugiahNorzi
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Senator T. Murugiah
says a doctor was with him at the hospital mortuary

PUTRAJAYA: Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Senator T. Murugiah rubbished claims that A. Kugan's body was tampered with by his family members before the post-mortem.

"The family members were distraught, yes, but I did not see anyone mishandling the body when I was there," he told reporters after meeting residents from Kota Damansara who were unhappy over the construction of a hypermarket in their neighbourhood.

Murugiah said he did not see any pool of blood on the floor as claimed by the Serdang Hospital medical officers.

He also said that he was not aware that the medical officers had been hiding in an adjoining room of the mortuary from the mob of about 50 people as he had been speaking to a doctor whom he declined to name.

Murugiah went on to say that the entire incident had been recorded on video and that the evidence had already been sent for investigation.
"Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail has assured me that he would be looking into the case. We will just leave it to him to reach a decision," he said.

"The truth will eventually prevail," he added.

Murugiah was commenting on the statement by Serdang Hospital director Dr Mohd Norzi Ghazali who alleged that Kugan's body was tampered with by a mob of about 50 relatives and friends at the mortuary before pathologists had conducted the post-mortem. Dr Norzi also alleged that Kugan's fully-clothed body was in a body bag, which had been torn open by the mob.

In their police report later, the medical officers, who said they were hiding in an adjoining room, said they were shocked to see a pool of Kugan's blood on the mortuary floor.

This, the report said, indicated that wounds on Kugan's body could have been inflicted after his death.

The New Straits Times learnt that police had completed their investigation into the incident at the Serdang Hospital mortuary which they had classified as fabricating false evidence with intent to procure conviction of a capital offence.

The charge carries a jail term of up to 20 years and fine.

From Liberation (french), Altantuya Murder - "JIMAT" Intrigue Fit For A Thriller ...

(UPDATED)

RPK has done it again!! This man is definitely amazingly fearless.
With an article published in a foreign tabloid by a foreign journalist, there is no issue of "sub judice". Moreover, if one were to sue for criminal defamation, he may not know enough kangaroos in that country, to sit in court.
His latest post - "The Truth that Refuses to Surface" is definitely a must read.

RPK posted the newspaper article from the French Liberation newspaper (reported as L’étrange affaire du meurtre d’une interprète mongole qui gêne le pouvoir en Malaisie- Translated "The strange affair of the murder of a Mongolian interpreter which is embarrassing the authorities in Malaysia" or The strange case of murder of a Mongolian interpreter impedes power in Malaysia.), which practically gave the full story on the Altantuya murder and fits all the pieces of the puzzle - fits almost too neatly to be true.
It appears to me that the real person who needs to be questioned is the man behind Azilah (I don't know how ADC Musa Safri who purportedly introduced Azilah to RB fits in the picture, though) ..... no copper/ hitman/ mercenary, no matter how demented, would go on a very specific exercise like this, without "orders from above".

Taken from RPK's MT :-
From Razak’s admission in the 24-page Affidavit filed on 4 January 2007, it is clear that:
1. Razak did not know Azilah and had never met him before the Altantuya murder.
2. Musa Safri, Najib's ADC, introduced Azilah to Razak.
3. Razak would have never met Azilah if not for Musa Safri.
4. Azilah felt he could help solve Razak’s problem because he had already killed 6-10 people before the Altantuya murder.
5. Razak’s Affidavit never mentioned whether Musa Safri knew that Azilah had already killed 6-10 people before the Altantuya murder and whether that was why Musa Safri introduced Azilah to Razak.
6. Razak did not want anything unwanted to happen to Altantuya.
7. Razak kept asking Musa Safri what happened to Altantuya but Musa Safri kept replying that Azilah had not informed him what happened (giving an impression that Razak was not able to ask Azilah himself and that the only person who was able to ask Azilah is Musa Safri).
8. If Azilah did murder Altantuya -- which we do not know yet since the trial is not over -- then it was not on Razak’s instructions and either Azilah used his own discretion or someone else other than Razak had instructed Azilah to murder Altantuya.
9. Even though Azilah and Razak never knew each other until Musa Safri introduced them, and they would have never known each other if not because of Musa Safri, Musa Safri is not one of those on trial for murder.

One would surely ask why Musa Safri has escaped the dragnet ........
So, somebody is being the fall guy for somebody else (without RB knowing it), who had a hidden agenda, and something really big to hide (or at stake) by "Jimat-ing" Altantuya .....
She (Altantuya) was apparently somebody's "mistress" & did apparently say that she was with a child, remember? If RB wanted to "Jimat" her, I'm certain that with his contacts, he could've done it in a less obvious manner.
Now - Who is this missing link? Who and what hasn't been investigated?

The scans of Sirul Azhar's full statement prior to the trial at the Travers Police station, where he practically confessed in graphic detail (refer above pic) to the brutality perpetrated by "certain quarters" who are as yet, are kept out of the trial.

It is mind boggling to imagine a highly trained "operative" coolly giving a statement that implicates himself in such a cold blooded murder in such a detailed manner. It appears to me that he might've been "coaxed" into such a statement - unless of course, he's criminally insane (which may warrant a psychiatric assessment) ...... or trusted "somebody's" promises of "incentives" a little too much. But RM430.00 is definitely a little too little for that kind of a deal.

BTW, the confessor apparently had time to take a crap (refer above pic) at Puncak Alam before perpetrating the crime!!! This statement is definitely a "collector's item", and reads like an episode of a crime thriller.
The only problem here is, we have dumb and uncooperative "Insp. Gan" from Interpol who declares the innocence of "certain parties" based on hearsay and without any investigation, instead of an "Inspector Colombo" who would leave no stone unturned...
I wonder what Interpol has to say about this "excellence in service".

HK MP5
The Heckler and Koch MP5 is currently one of the most widely used submachine guns today.
This is widely recognised as the most accurate submachine available today.
Popular with anti terrorist units and SWAT teams world wide.

One thing I found interesting, and learned from this is the term used for "neutralize" or kill in Malay by certain quarters - "Jimat" (refer to highlight on image). (No wonder some leaders tell us to "jimat" and "ubah gaya hidup, I guess ...)

This statement, is "too good to be true"!
Firstly, the hit-men can actually get lost in KL looking for a Hotel Malaya, which an artist at Central Market can point out in a hand drawn map!
It also amazes as to how stupid these hit-men are supposed to be in attempting to dispose of evidence - can you imagine professional assassins throwing evidence into the garbage or on the road? That too, they dump their own clothes together with those of the victim!! Or even haggling with cab drivers and making themselves more "memorable"? Denzel Washington couldn't have pulled off such a good act.

All this, while Razak Baginda is having his cigars in London while "studying", and somebody else much, much higher up the "chain of command", is silently pursuing his agenda in the background. The Russian secret service, FSB (formerly, the KGB) are apparently following the case closely. Well, I guess that it goes without saying that the Interpol, CIA, DGSE (French Secret Service) and MI6 will be on to it as well!!

Can you imagine what will happen if these agencies have any incriminating evidence against the Prime Minister of any nation? Never mind the shame that the citizens will have to shoulder when faced with foreigners/ businessmen ...... Yes - they become sitting ducks to blackmail!! He would lose control of the state, as a result of interference by different parties with vested interests, and as such would compromise the assets and wealth of the state.
Whichever that nation is, it is doomed to be sold out by the guilty party - that's for sure as the sun rising tomorrow!!

It is a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY that such a person doesn't become the prime minister or head of state of any country, or the nation is for sure to be sold out to international power brokers!!

But not to worry - In Bolehsia, everything is fine and dandy. The economy is "stable", and "peace and harmony" coexists with brutal murder of suspects by "security services". Being an advocate of "free trade and capitalism", Bolehsia is apparently also a major transit point for Human and narcotics-related merchandise.
However, Bolehsia has among the best security services and personnel in the world, with a fantastic world-class track record at "solving" murder and crime mysteries.
I just had a call from a "little bird", that "a certain individual" - charged with armed robbery- managed to solve his "problem" with $15,000.00 "kautim" money at Bolehsia's southernmost city!!!
That's Bolehsian justice and security services at work for you. Never fear, though - such things can always be glossed over in the MSM as "rumours" ..... you know what they say about "rumours" in Bolehsia, right?

So Bolehsians - you guys sleep peacefully tonight.
You're all in "good" hands - just make sure you say your prayers ..... or you'll get more "holy book sworn denials" coming in your MSM!!

Dog (sic) Plays Politics ....

NST (who else would ...) published a "hard-hitting defence" of the first autopsy report - sadly the doctor has obviously forgotten his Forensic Medicine. Maybe he's just someone recruited to be a pencil-pusher with a title under the NEP ....
Not too long ago, a poll indicated that Doctors are high on the list of "trusted" people - well, I suppose that will change soon, especially if he's still involved in govt "bureaucracy", I suppose. It is sad that the Hospital authorities cannot have a spokesperson who has some common sense and wouldn't shame the medical profession.

Dang, man - you don't need to be a medico to know that a dead body doesn't bleed 5 days post mortem! Any layman with an iota of common sense, will tell you that - what more a pathologist!!
Although food does exit the stomach after 4 hours, Norzi also appears to be totally ignorant of pathological changes brought about by starvation. However, one might have to concede - maybe Norzi belongs to a different species (like camel maybe), and his GI mucosa and hepatobiliary system stays that way indefinitely .....

Well at least, I believe the "pulmonary oedema" part (which I guessed earlier, from the pics- the frothy discharge through the mouth is a giveaway) - however, that is the secondary cause. That's like saying the victim died of cardiac arrest, which is the end result in all deaths! The question unanswered was - the cause of an acute Pulmonary Oedema in a healthy young adult who isn't known to suffer from any ailments.
As the second autopsy revealed, it must have been primary to Acute Renal Failure (Acute Tubular Necrosis) as a result of Rhabdomyolysis brought about by the beating Kugan sustained.

Anyway, it is sad that there was an attempt to mislead the public and family in the initial statements, wherein it was said that Kugan died of "Asthma", when it should have been "Cardiac Asthma" and "fluid in his lungs", when it should've been "Pulmonary Oedema" (or at least swelling of the lungs, in layman terms). Big difference in the implications of those words .....
This kind of twisting of facts by certain quarters is at best, disgusting!

Norzi insults the Medical Sciences and all doctors by saying that Pathological findings is "weak evidence"!!
That is an outright lie!! It must be another attempt at misleading the public.
I believe, the MMA ethics commitee/ SCHOMOS, although has no direct bearing in this case, should make a press statement to save some face for all the unrewarded, selfless, excellent and dedicated Medical Practioners in the Government service.
And to Norzi Ghazali - go back to Med-school, or at least watch some CSI on TV, dammit!!
If not, just go hang!!
Meanwhile, we wait for images of the Kulim 6, who were apparently shot ON TOP of the head by "well trained marksmen"( MPs allege Kulim six were shot in the head ).

Over to you Ismail Merican & MMC ....
(note to MMC & Ismail Merican : please avoid jailing doctors for minor misdemeanors)

PS I hope we don't see a "Bala act" with Dr. Amberkar ....
============================================
So, here it goes the press release by NST, taken from MalaysiaToday ....

Hospital: Mob tampered with Kugan's body

(NST) - Serdang Hospital yesterday fought back against accusations of a misleading post-mortem on police detainee A. Kugan. Its director, Dr Mohd Norzi Ghazali, said a mob of about 50 people had barged in and tampered with the body before any post-mortem was carried out by the hospital's forensics pathologist.

Dr Norzi said his medical officers sought cover for two hours in a connecting room of the mortuary as they feared being hurt by the mob.

The post-mortem, he said, was supposed to take place at 8am the next day as police personnel had to be present during the procedure.

A report on the incident at the morgue by the hospital authorities stated that Kugan's fully-clothed body was in a body bag, which had been torn open by the mob.

The medical officers also reported they were shocked to see a pool of Kugan's blood on the floor of the mortuary.
This, the report said, indicated that wounds on the body could have been inflicted after his death.

The report also stated that the 22-year-old had died of pulmonary oedema or fluid in the lungs. It also stated that there were no fractures on his body or damage to his vital organs.

However, Kugan's family lawyer, N. Surendran, said the second post-mortem conducted by University Malaya Medical Centre's pathologist Dr Prashant N. Samberkar revealed that his death was due to kidney failure caused by muscle injury that might be attributed to physical, chemical or biological factors.

Dr Norzi told the New Straits Times that both post-mortems were "weak evidence" in the case as they had been conducted after the body had been tampered with.

On claims that Kugan, a suspected car thief, had been starved for six days before he died, Dr Norzi said a person's stomach would be cleared of traces of food about four hours after his last meal.

Attorney-General Chambers' prosecution division head Tun Majid Tun Hamzah received the second post-mortem report from Surendran yesterday.

Tun Majid said comparisons would be made between the reports for a just decision.

"This won't be long, hopefully within this month. The chambers will inform the public of its decision."

Kugan died at the Subang Taipan police station while being interrogated on Jan 20, six days after he was arrested in connection with car thefts.

Kapar member of parliament S. Manikavasagam, who accompanied Surendran to the chambers, said a police report would be lodged against the Serdang pathologist either tomorrow or Saturday "over a false and misleading post-mortem".

In Kuala Lumpur, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said police would wait for the A-G's decision before taking action against the 11 policemen involved in Kugan's death.

Federal Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Bakri Zinin said he had obtained a copy of the second post-mortem report from Prashant.

"As per procedure, we will record his statement," he said.

In Kota Baru, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar has reiterated that the case should not be politicised.

He said he was surprised that the second post-mortem report was announced at the office of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) on Tuesday.

"When it was announced at the PKR office, it means that they are mixing a crime investigation with politics. This case has nothing to do with politics."

Preaching and Pleading to The Devil ....

Very nice, Art - beautifully written!
However, they aren't "beguiled by perceived perfections" - on the contrary, they are well aware of their shortcomings. In fact, they go far enough to demonstrate that they can perpetuate it with impunity!!

Be very sure of one thing though - they'll defend these very "shortcomings" tooth and nail, for they are gone too far down the road to turn back. And if necessary, they will unleash an episode of bloodletting like we've never seen before, before they lose it. Even if this doesn't happen, there are enough proponents to this idea which was mooted by a party stalwart on TV (note: an apology warranted here - I somehow cannot recollect who or when exactly, as I tuned out) some time back - they see no wrong or sin in bloodletting, as long as it is apparently in the name of the 3Rs - "race, religion and royalty" - while they pocket the fruits of blood & sweat of the proletariat.

Who then are the biggest victims, you might ask. It is none other than the Malays they claim to "defend". After all, to back them (Umno) up, they have the instruments of state and the Malay public whom they have "beguiled and corrupted".

Indeed, the Umno-ites are "blinded" by the "seven deadly sins", to the moral and spiritual corruption that it represents today - and the sins feel too good.

Yes Zaid did "lament" and failed- and so he quit. However, did Razaleigh really, actually do so?

If so, allow me then to pose a question to you - that which I posed to KuLi (and replied to the presumed answer) as well on his preaching blog as follows-

"Dear KuLi,
What do we call a man who jumps into a barrel of nightsoil to clean it from within, and hopes to come out smelling like roses?

Yes, you got it right, Ku Li …."

Don't You Know? We're Talking About A Revolution!

IPOH, March 3 — The High Court here has declared this morning’s emergency sitting of the Perak state assembly which was held on a street under a tree illegal.

"Earlier this morning, Judicial Commissioner Ridwan Ibrahim had ruled based on the Government Proceedings Act 1965 that five lawyers appointed by the speaker had no locus standi to represent a government officer but that he should be represented by someone from the state legal advisor’s office.....

"The police are taking a political stand by preventing a legally constituted assembly from sitting. The pPolice have shown that they are not the guardians of public safety but of Barisan National and this is regrettable."
Lim Guan Eng, Bagan PM and Penang Chief Minister

This is a real test of the whether our institutions are truly independent.
Our institutions, that is the courts, the police and so on,
are being tested and we can judge for ourselves
whether they are acting independently or not.
We are very surprised the police is ignoring the Speaker.
The secretary has absolutely no right nor authority at all
to question the validity and legality of the sitting.

~Ambiga Sreenevasan, president of Bar Council

From "Eyes Wide Open":

Malaysia - Fastrack To Fascism

There we have it, the last bits of democracy in Perak are being ripped to shreds by the UMNO/BN bastards!

- The Speaker's right to convene the State Assembly's meeting
is being challenged in court.
- His subordinate is openly defying him.
- His employees lock him out of the State Secretariat.
- The Police declaring them to be in illegal assembly if they approach the building.
- The cops openly taking sides by declaring the State Assembly sitting as invalid.
- Lawsuits galore against the Speaker
- Hypocritical howls and shameless shrieks about being disloyal to the Sultan

Hey...BN supporters. WAKE UP!
