Between the Devil and The Deep Blue Sea.

************************************
As much as PAS might argue that an Islamic system does not mean that Malaysia would transform into a theological state, the people will not buy this.

They are still suspicious that an Islamic system translates to a theological state. And they remember what it was like in the old days when religion once ruled the world.
That was the worst period in the history of mankind.
~ RPK, It's Not About Islam; It's About Religion

No, it is not the Malays who give Umno power.
It is the Chinese, Indians and natives of Sabah and Sarawak.
So, if you are in the mood to whack someone, don’t whack the Malays.
Whack the Chinese, Indians and natives of Sabah and Sarawak.
~RPK, Why Whack The Malays

***************************************

Recently, RPK came up with two articles consecutively (above), followed by "Splitting What Is Already Split" - which highlights the fact that the Muslim Ummah has been split from the very beginning. They made some real good reading, with some good points to note.

However, I'm inclined to say that there is much denial in all the articles, peppered with misguided opinions & statistics that are at best misleading, considering the circumstances in our political landscape.
Although I have refrained from commenting on MT as I used to in the past, I couldn't help but note the anger and frustration expressed by one commenter - Rainbowseahorse. He couldn't understand, why the natives of Sabah/Sarawak should be held responsible, when they have been suffering for their rebellion against Umno for 20yrs - ever since the "coup d'etat" (led by non other than Anwar Ibrahim, of course) using Muslim illegal immigrants against the Kadazan-Christian dominated PBS of a much younger Huguan Siou, Joseph Pairin Kitingan (back in '84, I think).
Here is the interaction we had (Please pardon the "french" in his comments):-

To all you West Malaysians who “whacked” us Sabahans, where the fuk were you Malayans from 1985 to 1994 when WE DARED to be the OPPOSITION STATE? You, along with MOST of you “WANKERShere who knows nuts about Sabah politics were cozily snuggled inside mamakthir and the rest of UMNO’s sarongs, all smiling with containment and praising the BN for being such a good and caring government. Then come the GE, you “WANKERS” smilingly and happily voted the BN into power yet again and without a bloody though to US SABAHANS who were fighting your mamathir, the whole bloody corrupted BN, and, yes, your NOW much beloved DS Anwar who was the second most powerful man in Malaysia at that time.

Now, and only now when you “WANKERS” suddenly realize that the PKR cannot win the GE without our Sabah, and Sarawak, Parliamentary seats, you “WANKERS” start calling us names and hurling all sorts of accusations at us.
You “WANKERS” don’t seem to realize, or too thick and numb skull to begin to understand that it’s all too bloody late to recruit Sabah as WE ARE OUT VOTED AT LEAST TWO TO ONE by migrant voters (all complimentary of your Malayan government) and have no more POPLE’S POWER to kick out, in particular, UMNO Sabah who controls or is being controlled by these legalized migrants.

You “WANKERS” still have at lease 6 Malayan States who HAVE NEVER EVER been an opposition State. You “WANKERS” go tell your fellow Malayans in these 6 States to have the balls to kick out the BN for once in their miserable life instead of voting them into power time and again for the last 52 bloody years of your independence, before telling us Sabahans (who have been an opposition State for eight long years, to have the guts to vote out the BN when we simply don't have that power anymore.

Come to think of it, why did it have to take your 4 Malayan States so long (over 51 years) to become an opposition States only until very recently? It must be you Malayans like the inside smell of the BN or too contented to even consider voting them out of power.

You Malayans are the epitome of hypocrisy and self righteousness!

You Malayans are the epitome of hypocrisy and self righteousness!
=====================================

Guilty as charged, my man! Guilty as charged.

Only thing is - today, we try to make up for it ....
And the question is - if you're willing to stand with us for a better future, or do you wish to screw it all up?
Hang the fellas who talk-cock like they know about the circumstances Sabahans are faced with - it is time to enlighten the ignorant, and work with us - even if we are wankers.
Peace bro - I know what you guys are faced with, and I sympathize/empathize.
Sabah/Sarawak has been betrayed by Umno time and again - and most Malaysians don't know about it. Please guys - stop the brickbats against Sabah/Sarawak .... they're in a much worse situation as a result of our ignorance.

cruzeiro,

We would like to work with the PKR, but they too are totally in the dark as to how to take on Sabah, and the one of the very few good people they have, like Christina Liew, has even thrown in the towel in exasperation!

Show us a good leader, and we will surely follow that person! DS Anwar is not that hot with us as he had a hand in project IC.

One more thing, please don't put Sarawak in the same context as Sabah. Sarawakian votes have not been diluted by any large scale project IC as the powerful Chinese Politicians made that quite difficult.
Sarawakians are much more complex people, as is their political climate. There, absolute power over everything, including food on the table, are controlled by Chinese T raid Politicians & Businessmen with that smiling Tiger Taib hand in gloves with them. As I said, it's really2 complex there, compounded by the fact that many of their people still living in scattered communities far from any good roads, it's most certainly no political campaign picnic.

As I said, give us a good leader, and we shall see what we can do to revamp the present corrupted and badly diseased government.

Of course - circumstances in Sarawak are quite different.
True what you say about the "triads" - and from what I hear, it is the "foochow" clans that control it .... including the PRDM of Sarawak, while the Melanaus present another version of the "ketuanan Melayu/Islam" policy for posterity. In fact, from what I gather, these "triads" have spread their wings to the W.Malaysian parties as well - Umno included. They have managed to enslave many through their capital controls, with many AliBabas as a front for their NEP compliant policies.

I'm no Anwarista, and as such don't make any apologies on his behalf. Anwar was definitely at fault back then, and as such "ain't too hot"- however, he does present and alternative which can bring about some change. Moreover, with his shaky popularity, he would have to appeal to the electorate to garner more support.

The question is - Are you willing to take a chance on change, or are you content with the status quo which has reduced Sabah to being beggars.
The choice is yours - and it is between hope and hopelessnes .... not good & better.
Cheers, mate.

Now - about "whacking the Malays" ....
Why whack the Malays??
Well, why not - there are still many Malays who subscribe to the ketuanan ideas, even if they don't support Umno. Don't believe me? Just talk to the PAS guys, and dissect what they say well - you'll see that their Islamic state agenda is simply a means towards perpetuating this same ideal.
Ask them about the economic status - they'll say that the "chinese" are still the rich ones, and hence the NEP is a necessity. They themselves, are slaves to the ruling elite, whom they perceive as their protectors. The only difference is - they wish to impose the same ideas in the name of Islam under the patronage of some self-proclaimed Godmen.
Mind you, We are talking about people who would go to great lengths to destroy the secular spirit of our Federal Constitution, here!! And they are Malays!!

This being the situation, many a non-Malay is left in a dilemma, to choose between two kinds of hypocrisy - do they have more of the same with the added garnishings of "Islam-as-I-say-tion" , or allow Umno's acknowledgement of the secular nature, together with the corruption.

Those who call it Islamophobia, are grossly mistaken - far from it, it is actually a phobia for ignorant hypocrites who brandish God's name, so as to justify changing the nature of our nation. That is a terrifying prospect, for any right thinking man or woman - and we are asked to help them achieve power based on good faith ..... despite their silence on the secular nature of our Federal Constitution.

Now - What was the title of this article again??
--------------------------------

On another note - Mahathir admits that Umno is racist, after spinning all this while that it was only "racialist":-

'Umno is also racist'

He said that since Nazri belongs to a racist party, the minister must then resign from the party deemed to be racist.

"Nazri says I am a racist. Umno is a racist party, it caters to the Malays.
If he feel that he does not belong to the racist party he should resign from the party."

But Bravo!! No Denials Here .... At Last.

Nazri calls Dr M a racist for defending BTN

By Asrul Hadi Abdullah Sani

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 — Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz called Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad a “bloody racist” for defending the Biro Tata Negara (BTN) courses, and reasserted the Cabinet’s earlier decision to overhaul the programme.

He also slammed Umno’s Utusan Malaysia newspaper, saying its “denial syndrome” was making him laugh.

The minister in the prime minister’s department also repeated his stand “everybody knows what the BTN is,” so there was nothing to hide.

“You must be a Malaysian whether you’re a minister or not. You must walk your talk. Don’t just because when you were PM, you wanted everyone to support you, you’re Malaysian and the moment you’re no longer PM, that’s it, only talk about the Malays so I cannot accept his comment. When you read his blog it is bloody racist.

“I strongly feel the BTN courses must be in line with the 1 Malaysia slogan by the PM,” he said.

Dr Mahathir had said yesterday that there was no need to revamp BTN’s training modules in the current form and that it was suitable for instilling the patriotic spirit among Malaysians.

For more updates, click on header/link above.

To know more of on why Nazri-Taxi was apparently pissed with the senile old racist man's opinion, click Dr M says criticisms against BTN an ‘exaggeration’.

**Let's just fasten our seat-belts, and hold back the standing ovation for now, folks - this may just be a prelude to something nasty which they have up their sleeves. After all, Nazri of all people, isn't really known for being honest or advocating pluralism, In fact, he's taken to "talking cock" like ducks to water - and has taken it to great heights, I might add. Donno about you - but I for one, would rather err on the side of caution.
Only time will tell if he will flip-flop on this statement, or resort to "redefining" it- after all it is the trademark of those in UMNO, who work with deceit as their
raison-d'etre.
Let's see where he goes from here ....

Denial Again ...

“Teoh Beng Hock’s case is nothing. It is a very small case.” – Ahmad Said’s guilty mind speaking~ LKS

The outgoing Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Ahmad Said gravely damaged his own case that he was not stepping down early because of political pressure.

Denying that the mysterious death of DAP political aide Teoh Beng Hock at the MACC headquarters at Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam on July 16, 2009 had attributed to his early retirement, Ahmad said:

“Teoh Beng Hock’s case is nothing. It is a very small case. We have handled much bigger cases.’’

This is generally received by Malaysians as Ahmad Said’s guilty mind speaking, admitting that the MACC cannot exonerate itself or exculpate responsibility for Teoh’s death whatever the outcome of the ongoing inquest to Teoh’s death.

Ahmad’s statement is heartless and grossly insensitive, rubbing salt into the wounds in the hearts of all decent and justice-loving Malaysia.

How can the head of an independent and professional anti-corruption agency dismiss Teoh’s mysterious and shocking death as “a very small case” and of no consequence?

How many lives must be lost in MACC precincts before they become major issues?

Ahmad’s insensitive and offensive statement about Teoh’s death as a “very small case” is only exceeded by his earlier distasteful statement implying that Teoh had committed suicide, saying that “if people investigated could not withstand the pressure and jumped from the building, there was nothing that MACC could do”.

Ahmad’s statement is also patently untrue, as there can be no denial that Teoh’s mysterious death and MACC’s culpability had been the single biggest factor in bringing Malaysia’s ranking in the Transparency International (TI) Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2009 by a few notches – with Malaysia falling nine places to 56th position from 47th last year and an unprecedented drop of 0.4 CPI score from 5.0 last year to 4.6 this year.

Before he steps down as MACC Chief Commissioner, can Ahmad spell out the reasons why Malaysia’s ranking and score in the TI CPI 2009 had suffered such a grave double plunge, and to let Malaysians know the role played by Teoh’s mysterious death at MACC headquarters for the loss of national and international confidence in the independence, professionalism and integrity of MACC?

In fact, Ahmad has provided Datuk Abu Kassim Mohamed who is to take over as the new MACC chief the opportunity to show whether Malaysians can expect a real difference in the MACC culture, benchmark and modus operandi with a change of MACC leadership – whether Abu Kassim endorses or dissociates himself from Ahmad’s outrageous statement that Teoh’s death is “a very small case” just as whether Abu Kassim will dissociate himself from another of Ahmad’s outrageous attitude that “as far as MACC is concerned, there is no difference between corruption involving a few ringgit and corruption involving a few hundred millions of ringgit”.

Yippee!! It's the season for Umno's "May 13" rhetoric again ...

"We admit that we made a mistake,"
its secretary Nga Kor Ming said at the Parliament lobby yesterday.

-NST

The reports demonstrate how Utusan Malaysia
has somehow managed to turn a childish act into a racial issue.
Its 1 Dec 2009 editorial equated stepping on the photographs of
Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu, Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi and Hee Yit Foong
as tantamount to challenging the dignity of Malay Malaysian leaders.

Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil upped the ante even further
by calling the DAP's behaviour "extremely dangerous" and said it could lead to violence.
"What would happen if there are patriotic or extreme and hot-tempered Malay [Malaysians]
who use this as an excuse to rise up and take revenge because they feel their race has been insulted? Who would take responsibility if violence broke out?" she asked.

Barisan Nasional-appointed Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir
also couldn't help bringing up race in his comments.
He accused the DAP leaders of acting according to their racial political ideology,
which, he claimed, they had been practising all this while.

The "Malays" are still so POOR .....

The authenticity of the pics below cannot be determined-
but pretty "impressive" (considering the state of our economy) ..... but this may be just one among many, don't you think?

Here is a post/ pics (in June 2009) from a link given by a commenter

Deceit - Ruling Ignorance, Fear & Apathy

"....This casts serious doubt on the Malaysian Government’s
respect
for the sanctity of contracts and the rule of law.
Let’s not talk about spurring investment .....
if we fail to understand the importance of abiding by contractual obligations."
- Tengku Razaleigh, Honouring our agreements

****************************************

*****************************************

With a certain ruling elite in this country - DECEIT is the only way they know how to rule.
From the 20-point agreement with Sabah, NEP, to the Federal Constitution, to ISA/ Police act, to oil royalties, to sabotage of non-BN held states, to legalised Illegals with "Bumi" status, to the Bank Bumiputra/Islam financial scandals, to Chin Peng denied entry, to OPV, to Bakun, to PKFZ - one thing remains consistent with Umno - DECEIT!

Change starts from Rakyat
- so said the article on Malaysia Today by Tohkong Mosjid. Indeed, it is as true as can be. To depend on our politicians to bring about any change is at best, foolhardy. Politicians (even the clerics, in fact) are concerned with only one thing - power to rule over the masses. It is however, quite a wonder, when you see the people drowning in their fear and apathy depending on these very people to bring about the changes they desire.
When things don't work out as they predict or hope, they're quick to complain about those who have made every effort against all the odds stacked against them, to bring about that change. It isn't enough that changes are being made to the extent they're empowered to do - Malaysians demand "Instant Noodles" & quick-fixes to all the problems that plague the country. Never mind if the Federal Constitution is raped, never mind if the dispossessed are trampled on, never mind if your neighbour faces injustice ....
As long as their bread is buttered and on the table, Malaysians don't give a fig about anything that goes on under the UMNO regime. It doesn't matter if UMNO whispers sweet little lies as the sexual predator does to his victims- Malaysians love it. and beg for more!!

************************************
“So long as the people do not care to exercise their freedom,
those who wish to tyrannise will do so; for tyrants are active and ardent,
and will devote themselves in the name of any number of gods,
religious and otherwise, to put shackles upon sleeping men.”

- Voltaire
******************************

Just yesterday, I had a man come and announce proudly to me that he's "politically active". When asked which party he worked for, he proudly announced that he was with (of all parties) Gerakan - the neutered lapdog of UMNO!! All I could say was, "Despite all the evidence presented before them, Malaysians are generally quite stupid politically & such suckers for some feelgood sweet little lies from the ruling elite". The worst part about meeting him was the fact that he agreed with me!! I then went to get him some peanuts, which he gladly accepted as continued talking his usual crap.

Frankly - I admire RPKs resilience at his "crusade" into raising awareness among the public. As things are, I'm beginning to get quite frustrated with the general public who fall for all the stupid lies dished out by the Umno regime. I'm not so sure that we can make much of a difference when we try to save the country from the wolves, when the people willingly become sheep following their "Judas Goat" in Umno, to the slaughterhouse. As long as Umno rules - the modus operandi of the so-called BN alliance Govt (the Mahathir way, i.e.) will remain as DECEIT.

Ultimately - it all would depend on the people, if they want to treat or live with the Malaysian Disease of Fear and Apathy. If those who accept Umno/BN as the only way for Malaysia to progress, especially if the Malays allow themselves to be hoodwinked into believing that only Racism, Piracy, apartheid and Umno can save them - this country is doomed, and I better keep my bags packed.
Of late, there was a book published on Mahathir's exploits in his 22 yrs. I liked one forum entry entitled "Buku Panas!! Mahathir Songlap RM100 billion" ...... let's see what Mr. "Clean, Efficient and Trustworthy" has got to say about this.
